DOS Announces Passport Day in the USA set for March 27

Each year, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) designates one Saturday in March as Passport Day in the USA, when all DOS regional passport agencies will open to the public for extended Saturday hours.  DOS announced that March 27, 2010 will be the next Passport Day in the USA.

Passport seekers across the country can visit any DOS passport agency without appointments and without needing to show proof of imminent travel.  In addition, thousands of passport acceptance facilities, including those operated by the U.S. Postal Service, will be open for extended hours.

Each passport facility is publishing details of their events in their local communities. Individuals can find addresses of the nearest passport agency or participating passport acceptance facility at travel.state.gov.
